Event rules & guidelines

The house rules for everyone booking through Book My Event, at venues across Oman. Booking a ticket or entering an event means you're happy to follow them, along with any instructions from the venue or event team.

01Before you book

  • A booking through Book My Event is a reservation for one specific event, on one date, at one time, in the section or tier you selected. It cannot be swapped to another show or section.
  • Every guest needs a valid booking. Your confirmation reference is your proof of purchase — keep it handy on your phone until you have left the venue.
  • Please read the event page carefully before paying. Age guidance, timing and tier details shown there are part of these rules.

02Getting in

  • Arrive with your booking reference and, if asked, a photo ID matching the name on the booking.
  • Expect a security check at the entrance. Bags may be searched, and the venue may limit bag size.
  • Doors usually open ahead of the show. Guests who arrive late are seated only when the event team finds a suitable moment, and part of the performance may be missed.
  • The event team or venue can decline entry, or ask a guest to leave, if these rules are broken or if someone's behaviour puts others at risk.

03While you're here

  • Enjoy the show from the section your booking covers. Please don't move into reserved or restricted areas.
  • Our teams, the artists and your fellow guests all deserve a good evening — harassment, aggression or disruption of any kind ends it early.
  • Aisles, exits and sightlines stay clear. No standing on seats or furniture.
  • Follow directions from ushers, security and venue staff at all times, especially during an evacuation.

04What to leave at home

  • Anything that could injure someone: weapons, fireworks, flares, lasers and similar items.
  • Outside food and drinks, glass containers and large hampers, unless the event page says otherwise.
  • Professional cameras, recording gear, drones and selfie sticks where the event or artist has asked for them not to be used.
  • Unapproved banners, flags or promotional material.
  • Items that aren't allowed may be held at the door, and Book My Event and the venue can't look after belongings left behind.

05Younger guests

  • Age guidance on each event page applies, and some events are for adults only.
  • Children usually need their own booking, and young guests must be accompanied by a responsible adult where the event requires it.

06Photos and recordings

  • Snap away on your phone for personal photos, unless the artist or event page has asked for a phone-free experience.
  • Filming the performance, livestreaming and any commercial photography need written permission from Book My Event or the organiser first.
  • Keep devices on silent, and no flash during the show.

07Comfort, safety and access

  • If you have accessibility needs, tell us before the event through our contact page or WhatsApp and we'll help arrange suitable access with the venue.
  • Smoking and vaping only in designated areas, where the venue provides them.
  • In an emergency, follow staff instructions and use the marked exits.

08Changes and refunds

  • Line-ups, start times and section layouts can change. On its own, a change like that is not a reason for a refund.
  • If an event is cancelled or moved, we'll announce the refund or exchange options to booked guests as soon as we can.
  • Bookings are otherwise non-refundable — including change of mind, late arrival, or entry refused for breaking these rules.

09House rules and liability

  • Each venue adds its own house rules — dress code, parking, food service and so on. Those apply on the night alongside these guidelines.
  • You attend at your own risk, as allowed by the law of the Sultanate of Oman. Book My Event and the venue aren't liable for lost or damaged belongings, or for anything outside our reasonable control, except where the law says otherwise.
